The Society for British Water and Wastewater Industries (SBWWI) earlier in the year made a proposal to the members that they amalgamate and become part of a new sewer and waste water sub committee within the younger organisation. Voting papers were sent to all members prior to our June meeting setting out the arguments for continuance or being subsumed within the wider based Association.
The members voted to for the continuance of the NSA which has been in existence for over 30 years and serves the maintenance area of the sewer and drainage industry. The Association believes in setting and maintaining standards, encouraging appropriate training and striving to maintain the the integrity of the industry.
