Ian Denmark wins

Ian Denmark (George Leslie Ltd) was awarded the Coggin Cup for 2015, following a vote by the members, at our October meeting.

Ian started his working life as an engineering technician for a consultancy firm which gave a grounding in the industry. He joined George Leslie in 1980 to further his industry experience and quickly developed a niche working in the Sewer Services Division as a hands on operator and in the process took the OS course. He was involved across the board in sewer maintenance work and within twelve years had become the Sewer Services Manager and embracing problem solving challenges. This allowed George Leslie to set a high standard of service to their customers to all their customers in Scotland whether consultants, water and sewerage authorities or highways. He has recently retired and handed the baton on.

Note: The Coggin Cup was donated in memory of Barry Coggin, a founder member of the Association, by his family to be awarded to someone the members thought had made a contribution to the industry. The recipient is not necessarily a member.
